In this period of the World cup, there's an overwhelming sense of euphoria around football, and the sense of enthusiasm has caught up with even the novice in the game.
What this period of 'madness' in football has generated is a genuine sense of friendliness among every nationality, race and culture; and this shows how influential sport can be to bridge the gap between humanity where politics couldn't do.
What's intriguing is that this sense of global 'awakening' is determinant of how well a national team does to continue enjoying the support of its people. However, if the team fails to impress on its performance then heads turn sour and the blame game starts to surface, and the manager is at the mercy of the people, though the players might share part of the blame, however, the fans always blame the source of the team which they see as the manager.
The problem with the manager is that he is employed to deliver the wishes of the people by winning tournaments with beautiful style of play and when he fails to deliver, he suffers the wrath of the people and get dismissed. 
Looking at the spiritual state of human life in comparison with fans' euphoria, the believers in God like enthusiastic football fans worship him with every fibre of their being when prayers are being answered according to their wishes and good fortunes of prosperity are being realised, but the irony is that when things go the opposite, like prayers not answered as wished, and life get stretched harshly, then, some of these believers like football fans, like to shun God's involvement in their lives because of lost of trust.
Where the dichotomy arises is that however angry or disappointed the believers in God are with his 'failure' to deliver their spiritual wishes, God wasn't employed by anyone to deliver what they wanted, but what he sees fit for his believers, so however desperate they are, he wouldn't rush to offer anything else to appease them, therefore the right thing is that believers have to learn how to wait for his right answers at their due time, and the due time is determined by him alone, because no one can sack God from their lives however they try, for he's not to be dictated to, rather he has the authority to dictate to his people.
