Manger baby who became the saviour among us.
The manger story about Jesus' condition of birth wasn't something any mother would choose for her new precious baby.
However, Mary, the mother of Jesus never had a choice at that time of chaotic environment and room accommodation was difficult to come by.
So her only priority and concern was the survival of the baby.
Sometimes as human beings we make some hard choices for survival, so it makes Jesus' birth situation more relatable to our own situations sometimes.
The situation of his birth brings realism into our human life that no dismissive excuses about his birth would be able to undermine Christ' own humanity to the world in need of spiritual realism.
That's the reason why I believe we shouldn't be hang up on about the debate about his real date of birth, even if the 25th December was a stretch
too far for some Christians to celebrate.
So, whatever the argument, the truth of the matter is that Jesus was the God incarnated among mankind, and I believe that's what all the celebration of Christmas is all about.
This is the reason why our faith is stubbornly entrenched in him, because when we mess up in life, he understands our weakness and pleads for mercy for us.
In view of such merciful relationship with us, it paves way for our prayer to have special attentive audience with the throne of grace in heaven.
This divine attention, allows his grace, love and mercy for us to inherit the kingdom of heaven when we die.
Finally, the manger story has become the beacon of our salvation, and there's no assurance or promise bigger than this.
God bless You.
